Character Study

Just a quick character study. I'm trying to figure if I like it with the outline or without the outline. I'm doing a number of secondary characters like this one that will appear in the background or as extras in some short animations I'm working on.

Flash Animation Tests

I've been really digging Flash lately. I'm trying to learn as much as I can (in my spare time) about Flash animation and pretty much animation in general. The following samples are some tests I'm working on. I hope to add to them and continue updating my progress.

Background Inspiration

I recently bought the Best of Tennessee Tuxedo DVD. Fifteen episodes. For those that dont recall or even know, Tennessee Tuxedo was part of the whole Underdog cartoon series. It featured the exploits of Tennessee a Penguin and his pal Chumley a Walrus.

What I love about this DVD are the background designs. Very simple, very retro. That's what inspired this next set of background sketches. :)

Again With The Backgrounds

A few more background ideas. The first two are for a series of various street corners and different angles. I actually have a plan for them in an animaiton. We'll see if it works.

The other one is just an image of fond memories when I was a punk kid hanging out with my friends at the local bowling alley. I was sorry to see it torn down a few years back and a Bed Bath & Beyond was put in it's place. oh well, still got the memories. :)
