The Beans

It dawned on me that I never posted this on my blog before. This is a 3D project that I've been working on for several years. I havn't touched in a while due to the fact that I got a little burnt out from it. But lately I think the fire to dedicate some side time to it again has been rekindled. At any rate below are a few designs from a story I've been developing called, "The Beans - a silent but deadly fight". I even have a website dedicated to it called The Beans Online which is not finished yet, but some of the concept art, screen shots and character bios can be seen.

I also had an online interview about a year ago over at Simply Strata. Strata is the 3D software I used to build The Beans. It's what was available to me and I wanted to see how hard I could push the program. Anyway you can read the interview by clicking here

My Pride & Joy

My first non artwork post. :)

Well, last week I was on vacation. Didn't go anywhere, just stayed home with the family and did a little artwork. It was a good break and much needed time with my kids. So here's a pic of me with my pride & joy.

Character Studies

A friend of mine who's a pretty good storyboard artist and I are working on a short little toon idea. Not going to say too much about it...ok, I'm not going to say anything about it, at least not right now. :) But here's the first round of character studies. I think you can guess what part of it is about.

My Cartoon Book

I am hooked on all the "i" programs that Apple has to offer. iTunes, iMovie, iDVD, iPhoto, i i i....

At any rate, iPhoto has a neat service where you can have all your photos printed and bound as a book in a variety of sizes and styles. I've actually used it to do small photo albums of my kids. It's easy, load your images into iPhoto, pick a book style, layout the pages the way you want, click the buy book button and up load it. pretty simple. :)

The quality is pretty good too. So I thought what the heck I'll set up a book for my cartooning. My order came the other day and I must say they came out pretty good. It's not super duper quality, but good none the less. I got the 8" x 6" size which is a perfect size for sending out samples or as a leave behind on an interview.
