Church Stuff

Quick post. Every summer our church spends quite a bit of time on VBS (vacation bible school). A theme is picked and we run with it. It's a great time for the kids of our church as well as the kids in the community. It's a time to learn bible lessons, play games, do crafts and eat. :) This year I'm doing a number of short animations that will be projected onto a large screen based on this years theme. The first will be shown a few weeks out as sort of an advertisement. The animations are very simple though because of time. :) Can you guess this years theme? ;)

Couldn't Resist

Couldn't resist. it's a little off, oh well. Oh yeah and for the record, the guitar loop is not him, he's way better than that. It's just a loop I found to test it. :)

Will He Know It's Him?

There's a guy by the name of Ponco who is an amazing guitarist that just happened upon my blog one day. Since finding it he's left nothing but encouraging messages. So, I quickly sketched my version of him. I may clean it up at some time. At any rate, thanks Ponco.

Freelance Stuff

I've been freelancing for a great little animation company in Georgia called Timbuktoons for quite some time now. I thought I would post some images from one of the short animations I did for them. The neat thing is that I'm responsible for character design, storyboarding and animation which I think has helped me become more well rounded and familiar with the various aspects of animation. I may post a few clips at a later date as long as I get permission first.

just as a note, all images in this post are the property of Timbuktoons LLC.

A Little Extra

Well, I decided to do a little bit extra on the recent challenge. More like a bunch of tests. I wanted to say thanks to all those that had an encouraging word to say about the NJMW animation. I even got many requests to do a series or a bunch of webisodes, which I'm seriously considering. So thanks. :)

At any rate below are a bunch of run cycles from various angles. just click the "play" button on each to see them move. They might run a bit slow over the internet.
